The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Associate Practitioners and Therapy Assistants.

To provide specialist orthopaedic physiotherapy to patients, working within the acute adult and paediatric wards, as part of an inter-professional team. This may also include supporting the delivery of pre- operative and post-operative elective orthopaedic clinics.


This role will require weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rota basis.


To support service improvement and delivery within the trauma and orthopaedic physiotherapy service.Participate in health promotion and education of staff, patients and families.


The post holder will undertake regular Continual Professional Development (CPD) to support their lifelong learning and map their CPD Portfolio activities.

Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
Post graduate qualification or proven equivalent experience / training in a relevant field
Evidence of continued professional development

Experience in Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic setting
Experience of training/supervision.
Experience in Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics


Effectively communicate the clinical reasoning supporting treatment and management of complex trauma and orthopaedics.
Ability to work alone when required

Specialist trauma and orthopaedics knowledge and interest.
