The International Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive the growth of our premium Irish pet food products in European and American markets. This role involves building and managing a robust distribution network, hiring and leading Area Managers, and leveraging your expertise in the pet food industry to achieve sales targets. The position is based in Ireland and requires approximately 30% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Channel Development:

Identify and establish relationships with potential distributors and partners across Europe and America to sell our exclusive Irish pet food products.

Develop and execute strategic plans to expand distribution channels and increase market penetration, ensuring our quality pet food reaches international markets.

Negotiate and finalize distribution agreements to secure optimal terms and conditions.

  • Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage Area Managers to drive sales in designated regions.

Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and performance feedback to the sales team.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture focused on promoting our premium Irish pet food.

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement sales plans to achieve company objectives and sales targets for our Irish pet food products.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales materials that highlight the quality and uniqueness of our Irish pet food.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention by emphasizing the superior quality of our Irish pet food products.

  • Market Expertise:

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the pet food sector.

Serve as a subject matter expert on our Irish pet food products, providing insights and training to the sales team and customers.

Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to network and promote our brand of quality Irish pet food.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an International Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in the pet food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pet food market, including trends, regulations, and customer preferences.
  • Strong network of contacts within the pet food distribution sector in Europe and America.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time across Europe and America.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
