Class 1 Shunter, Days
Do you hold a Class 1 (CE) Licence?
The position of Class 1 Shunter involves:
Shunting and loading/unloading of trailers, ensuring load security, and adhering to site safety policies.
Using a Counterbalance Forklift to load and unload vehicles as required.
Liaising with the Transport Office as to what vehicles are parked in the yard.
Carry out local collections and deliveries as and when required.
Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Shunter:
Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Counterbalance licence is preferable, but not essential as full training can be given.
Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
Salary for Class 1 Shunter is between £34,070pa - £41,291pa, depending on hours worked.
70 every 5 years for HGV Medical.
Hours of work are Monday Friday, start time is circa 06:00hrs.
