European Generalist (Healthcare-bias) Equity Analyst - Investment Management
Our client, a Global active investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Equity Analyst (min 7 years exp) to idea generate into an existing European equity fund. This person will be given the opportunity to cover a variety of sectors but with a slanted focus on Healthcare sector.
The European Equity desk is looking to bolster their research capability and hire a senior equity research analyst in London. You will report directly to the Senior Portfolio Manager heading European equities, a 20-year+ equity investor veteran.
You will be working in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment with a high-achieving team who is driven by professional goals but also shares common human values of team spirit and inclusiveness.
Conduct company investment research to an validate investment thesis – including financial analysis, due diligence on industry trends, company management and strategies and ESG impact and risks

Attend industry conferences, conduct meetings with management teams, industry leaders to build stronger understanding of underlying industry, competitive dynamics, business drivers, strategic direction and ESG impact and risks
~ Develop insightful financial modelling and valuation: quickly input data into models to arrive to insightful charts, dashboards and conclusions
~ Produce high quality investment research memos and document research findings
~ Articulate clearly and succinctly investment conclusions in both formal presentations and more informal discussions with PM
~ Assist in building and continuously improving the team’s ESG tools and framework
~ Regularly turn insight on specific verticals and company trends into short original content aimed for clients and wider audience on digital media
~ 7+ years’ experience on either the sell- or buy-side as an Equity Research Analyst with Healthcare sector expertise.
~ CFA or equivalent is valued
~ Ownership and follow-through on projects to completion, never letting today’s task to tomorrow even if it means staying long hours
~ MS Office, high familiarity with Bloomberg
Strong equity research skills with strength in financial analysis/modelling gained from experience working in a similar role
Deep curiosity to analyse and understand business models, industry dynamics, and competitive analysis in details
Understanding of financial markets, investment theories and asset valuations
Ability to code in VBA Excel or Python a plus
