The Role: Group Health, Safety & Environmental Manager We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead our HSE strategy across all MM Flowers sites in the UK and Europe. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this is a pivotal leadership role that sets the direction for health, safety, and environmental performance across the business. You will be responsible for shaping our Group-wide HSE strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, and cultivating a proactive safety culture where everyone feels responsible for maintaining safe and sustainable working environments. This role is perfect for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about making a measurable impact on safety culture and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a robust, forward-thinking Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy aligned with MM Flowers' operational goals. Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals, ensuring consistency and high performance across all sites. Oversee risk management, compliance, and auditing to ensure full adherence to UK and EU H&S legislation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting best practice and a culture of ownership and accountability. Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to embed HSE priorities into everyday decision-making. Provide insightful reporting and analysis to the executive team, translating data into actionable outcomes. Lead incident investigations and share lessons learned across the business. Champion health and wellbeing programmes that support the physical and mental wellbeing of all colleagues. About You You'll be a confident, credible leader with a proven ability to drive cultural and behavioural change. You will have: A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and significant experience in a senior HSE role, ideally across multiple sites. Strong working knowledge of UK and EU health, safety, and environmental legislation. A proven track record of delivering measurable safety improvements. Exceptional leadership and communication skills — able to inspire, influence, and engage at all levels. Analytical acumen to interpret data and identify trends that inform strategic decision-making. Membership of a professional body (e.g. CMIOSH) is desirable. Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast-paced operational environment. Why Join MM Flowers?
