We are looking for a Software Development Engineer III to join the Pricing teams (Distribution Supply and Trust Organization), responsible for developing and handling our pricing products that provide the best deals for our customers. The vision for this organization is to encourage travel by building a framework for trusted marketplaces
Our cloud-native (AWS) technology-powered travel platform enables our marketplace participants. We organise for feature velocity, so wherever appropriate, your teams will use AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, ElastiCache, Aurora, DynamoDB and of course EC2, ECS and S3. To further help speed things up, you'll look to build on top of open-source systems and libraries like Redis, GRPC, Akka, Cassandra, and MongoDB with our services built on JVM.
Understand the importance of system and technology integration and the basic features and facilities involved in the integration process
· Apply software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, and modular with good naming conventions
· Implement tasks and/or provide data to support the implementation of holistic solutions that forge linkages between structure, people, process and technology
· Apply formal training methods to the current workload. Professional software engineering experience
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field; Developed software in a team environment of at least 5 engineers (agile, version control, etc.)
· Built and maintained a software project/product in production environments in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure
· Strength in a strongly typed object-oriented language like Java, Scala experience is a plus
· Familiarity with modern databases
· Understanding of how projects fit together within your team and the team’s goals fit the business need.
· Understanding of testing and monitoring tools
