Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Translator to join our team in the Information Technology and Services industry. As a Technical Translator, you will play a key role in bridging the language barrier for our global clients by accurately translating software interfaces, technical documents, manuals.
Your ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts will ensure that our clients receive clear and precise information in Japanese.
The position will require physical presence in Tokyo as a first stage, and can gradually evolve towards partial remote work. The position may involve a training in Germany, France, and can offer re-location in one of these two Planisware offices.

  • Translate software interfaces, technical documents, manuals, from the source language [English] to the target language [Japanese].
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of translated materials, performing quality control checks on completed translations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers to understand technical content and provide accurate translations.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Conduct terminology research to ensure consistency and accuracy in translated materials.
  • Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure grammatical correctness and linguistic quality.
  • Communicate any challenges or revisions needed to the project team, offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Translation from the [Japanese] to the [English] are not the priority but may be requested occasionally
  • Other ad-hoc activities not written above related to the position may be requested occasionally as, as a company, we encourage flexible mindset.
What We Expect From You:
  • Fluency in at least two languages, including English and Japanese.
  • Proven experience in technical translation, preferably in the Information Technology and Services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of software programs and terminology used in the IT industry
  • Knowledge of the project management domain, of the PMBOK will be required/need to be acquired to fulfill execute the tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high translation standards.
  • Proficiency in using translation tools and softwares (CAT tools)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
