What you'll do

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating on several exciting opportunities we are looking at and on occasions the delivery of assigned tasks and projects. This will entail early contractor involvement, design, tendering/pricing, construction, commissioning, on the whole life cycle of a design, build operate and maintain project.

All tasks are to be undertaken in-line with Turnbull's Company values (Professional, Safe, Trusted and Expert) whilst ensuring safety, quality, time, and cost are always observed to ensure the successful outcomes of all activities.

The Project Manager must lead by example ensuring safety is always maintained, best practices are followed, and standards always adhered to.

  • Lead, guide and direct all projects to ensure completion in line with our KPI's
  • Ensure that all projects comply with company legal and contractual obligations
  • Ensure effective contract negotiations take place to deliver best value
  • Ensure that Corporate Governance processes and procedures are followed, and that programme and budgetary constraints and controls are adhered to
  • Always maintaining good PR and company image via direct interface with the Client, Turnbull Partners, stakeholders & the public by both verbal and written communications
  • Ensure effective management of risk on each project
  • Ensuring compliance with WECS Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures
  • Responsible for leading & managing staff to deliver objectives

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience / professionally qualified
  • Extensive experience of project managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Experience of working against Environmental & Quality procedures
  • Working Knowledge of the H&S at Work Act 1974, Workplace (Health and Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, RIDDOR regulations 1995, CDM Regulations 2015, NEC3
  • Experience of the entire project process, from concept, through design and construction through to commissioning stages of engineering projects
  • Good planning and organizational skills; effective decision-making
  • Relevant technical, contractual, and legislative knowledge & experience
  • Ability to communicate to a wide range of people, often balancing conflicting requirements
  • Ability to organise self, individuals and teams motivating all towards achieving successful completion of project.
  • Previous experience with environmental permitting and flood management would be desirable.
