Our client is a leading FM Service Provider and is recruiting for a Head of Estates to deliver the Hard FM services on a Healthcare account. In the role of Head of Estates, you will have responsibility for leading the engineering department with full responsibility for the P&L of £3m plus additional works and projects.
As Head of Estates, you will lead the front-line management team responsible for delivering high-quality FM services through our PFI contract. This role involves overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive services, and resource management to ensure that client needs are met while adhering to strict service level agreements (SLAs). You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and optimizing financial performance within agreed budgets.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of facilities management in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Lead and develop a team including finance assistants, helpdesk operatives, and maintenance supervisors.
# Achieve financial targets by optimizing resources and minimizing unavailability penalties.
# Previous experience managing FM Contracts and influencing change where required, along with a customer-facing attitude and excellent team-building/people management skills.
# Experience in coaching and influencing teams.
# Services management experience of people and commercial issues.
# Must satisfy a DBS check and health check.
# Good people-management skills.
# Strong analytical skills with a strong bias towards P&L financial management.
# Intelligent approach to performance monitoring including relevant experience.
# Proficient IT skills, including Excel, Word & Microsoft Office.
# Experience of working to ISO 9001 or similar quality system.
# Qualified to ONC/HNC standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Building Services or Building.
# Preferably NEBOSH Qualified.
