Job Description 2445 – Applications Support Analyst - Aberdeen

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Applications Support Analyst to join our team in Aberdeen . As Applications Support Analyst you will deliver support and maintenance for the application portfolio operations and projects, ensuring applications are maintained in line with product roadmaps and business requirements. If you are a team player, possess excellent communication skills and have undertaken previous Application Support roles we’d love to hear from you.

Provide level 1 and level 2 application support and maintenance services
Installation, configuration, administration, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of application portfolio
Engagement with 3rd party vendors as part of support and maintenance activities
Provide support for onshore and offshore business applications
Related hardware accessory (e.g. licence dongles) support and asset management
Ensure timely and accurate testing of solutions, patches and other maintenance activities prior to deployment
Work with third party vendors to ensure services are supported
Engagement with other IS functions to ensure successful deployment of solutions into production
Provide out of hours support on an occasional basis for scheduled maintenance, project activities and via the on-call support rota


Experience of Cloud Application services, M365, Azure, SQL. Experience of database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle
Experience of application installation and configuration
Experience and in-depth knowledge of managing the support and testing of applications
Experience in supporting enterprise applications within the energy and utilities sector preferred but not essential.
ITIL foundation qualification desired but not essential
