The Stradling Collection is seeking a Director to oversee and lead its three-year growth plan and establish the Collection as a leading voice in our creative, education and academic communities.
This is an amazing opportunity for you, or someone you know, to head up our small but ambitious Bristol-based charity specialising in 20th and 21st century design and holding a unique Collection of decorative arts and household design.
We are ideally looking for someone who has worked operationally and strategically at a leadership or senior management level within an arts or heritage, publicly funded or not-for-profit cultural organisation with a proven ability to generate income from a wide range of sources.
Fixed term contract of two years with the option to extend.
~ The Board of Trustees envisage a three-day week (0.6 FTE) but are open to consider other possible alternative working arrangements such as occasional working from home. There will be some requirement for occasional out of office hours for which time off in lieu will be given.
~20 days holidays plus bank holidays, pro rata.
~ Organisational pension contribution.
~ Training and development opportunities.

Working operationally and strategically at a leadership or senior management level within an arts or heritage publicly funded or not-for-profit cultural organisation.
Experienced in writing strategic plans and grant applications.
Track record of brokering new partnerships and developing networks.
Project experience of successfully working with creative individuals, curators and organisations.
Experience of business planning, financial and risk management and control.
Proven ability to build diverse new and established audiences including educational outreach.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, having an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure and delegate effectively.
