dSb Recruitment are exclusively partnering with this well-known, established, but evolving Premium Outdoor/Lifestyle business.

Role Overview:

  • Heading up a team of 6, you will support the Product Director in the evolution of the 3 year Product, Brand, and Category Strategy
  • Accountable for the Category Buying Strategy and ensuring that teams are maximising opportunity and minimising risk whilst selecting product to protect the existing business and unlock spend from the target consumer
  • Collaborating with the Head of Merchandising and other key stakeholders on the creation of the company buying strategy ensuring that it delivers a balanced product portfolio that best serves the target consumer, considers the market conditions, and drives the business towards its target market goals.

Experience Required/Person Specification:

  • Current experience in a similar Head of Buying role or as a Senior Buyer/Buying Manager managing a large team.
  • A premium technical product background within sports/outdoor/lifestyle would be ideal.
  • Exposure to a Branded Buying environment is an highly advantageous and prefferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of the market with the ability to analyse trends and data
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategic vision into tangible delivery
  • Resilient and experienced in driving and supporting change management
  • Developed Team Management experience within Retention, Disciplinaries, and Recruitment
  • Able to translate strategic business vision into tangible delivery
