GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly recognisable, leading manufacturer in the automotive aftermarket performance industry. We are supporting their recruitment for a TIG Welder to join their team on a full-time permanent contract, located in Gloucester.
This position is working Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30pm and with an earlier finish on a Friday of 15:30pm. Working as a TIG Welder, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality aluminium products. We are seeking a skilled and experienced welder who can operate Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding equipment to join and weld aluminium components.
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate proven experience as an Aluminium, Steel, and Stainless steel TIG Welder with proficiency in TIG welding techniques, especially on aluminium.
An IMMEDIATE start is available for the successful candidate.
Aluminium Welding: Perform TIG welding on aluminium components, ensuring strong and visually appealing welds.
Steel, Stainless-Steel welding: Perform TIG welding on aluminium components, ensuring strong and visually appealing welds.
Interpret and follow engineering drawings and blueprints to understand welding specifications and requirements.
Prepare aluminium materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and positioning them accurately.
Set up and maintain TIG welding equipment, ensuring it functions efficiently and safely.
Inspect welded components for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, adjusting as needed.
Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, especially on aluminium.
Familiarity with different aluminium alloys and their welding requirements.
Knowledge of welding equipment operation and maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
You can work at a developing manufacturing facility, with considerable investments in continual improvements in people and equipment.
