Panel Builder

We are currently looking to recruit two Panel Builders to join a leading, family run, manufacturing business based in Ponteland. The company designs and manufactures electrical distribution panels and associated devices for the street lighting industry, has recently expanded into the Electric Vehicle Charging market, and requires more members in the production facility.

The Panel Builders will receive a competitive rate depending on experience. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm with overtime available and other company benefits. This is on a temporary to permanent basis, following successful completion of the probation period.

1. Fit electrical components and electrical wiring working from schematics and drawings.
2. Fit, wire, build and assemble power distribution units using hand tools and power tools.
3. Elements of panel testing will be required.

• Working with Single + Three Phase - essential
• Experience working with busbar assemblies - highly desirable
• Previous panel wiring experience - highly desirable
• Previous electrical testing experience - highly desirable
• Hold 18th Edition - highly desirable
• Recognised apprenticeship served - preferred
• Previous use and experience with hand tools

You must be able to:

• Understand electrical drawings
• Have attention to detail
• Work to schematic drawings
• Have good communication skills and an understanding of verbal and written English
• Deal with high and low volume wiring assemblies
• Have excellent attendance levels and attitude
• Have control panel experience

Additional skills required:

• Fault finding and repair
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
• 3 phase, Single phase, and AC experience required
