PCB Designer – Portsmouth HQ - 3 days a week onsite initially - £55k + benefits

A global Defence client with HQ’s around the U.K are looking to bring onboard either a HND or Degree educated Security cleared or willing to be security cleared PCB Designer to join the team based in either Essex or Portsmouth on an initial 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote basis.
The successful candidate will be joining a small team based across the Two sites, you’ll be tasked with overseeing the full lifecycle of PCB design and will contribute through all phases of design.
Key skills:
HND or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
PCB design for large/complex and multi-layer PCB
Designed controlled impedance, high speed digital, RF, mixed signal, high current, and large FPGA technologies
Experience of blind, buried, and filled via techniques
Experience of Cadence design tool suite
Ability to work with complex mechanical profiles to accommodate enclosure, structural, thermal, and screening requirements
Key responsibilities
Apply knowledge, skills and engineering experience to generate PCB designs
Interpretation, generation and management of schematic diagrams
Collaborate with the mechanical and electronic design teams
Undertake component library management
Modifications and maintenance of legacy designs
