We are The Place to Grow for our entire school community.

This is our entire reason for being: what we do and how we do it is driven by our commitment to the view that our school is the place to grow. Long Crendon School is a place where children can grow personally, academically, emotionally and in so many other ways. Our curriculum enables children to develop skills and nurture a real love of learning. For staff, we support professional development to ensure that you too can grow at our school. We support staff in undertaking NPQs and further study.

In 2022, Long Crendon School was assessed as requires improvement by Ofsted. Since then, we have worked to return to good. Lots of progress has been made, but there is more to do to secure positive change.

Owing to the exciting promotion of our current deputy headteacher to headship, our children are looking for a deputy headteacher to help lead our aspiring rural primary school.

You will support the new headteacher in achieving the exceptional outcomes to which we aspire and work closely with them to deliver school improvement with the support of the local authority and governing body.

The Deputy role will include safeguarding responsibilities, leading and supporting behaviour and working closely with the SENDCo to support inclusion.

Working within Buckinghamshire County, you will receive training and leadership opportunities which will support you in your role and into your future.

Our children are inspiring and a joy to teach. We invite you to come and meet us to find out for yourselves. About you

You will be an experienced middle or senior leader with a proven track record of leading a team and making rapid and sustained school improvement.

We are looking for someone who has continued to develop themselves through training or postgraduate studies. You will need to show the ability to manage change and the capacity to communicate a vision which inspires, grows and challenges the whole school community. Other information
