Electrical EngineerLocation: HuddersfieldSalary: £45,000pa to £48,000paTo monitor, maintain and repair electrical components of production machinery. Engineering* General maintenance duties, proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime.* Communicate details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead and the reasons, with solutions offered.* Ensure comprehensive information, both verbal and written, is carried out between shifts to ensure efficient and smooth handover to other maintenance staff and the Maintenance Lead.* Carry out routine maintenance schedules to the maintenance schedule plan PPM (preventative planning maintenance)* Regularly check the computer SFOL (shop floor on-line) to ensure current machines are all running.* Installation work where required.* Take Responsibility for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards.* Carrying out electrical tests and diagnostic checks.Skills, experience and qualifications that are required for the role:* A time served Electrical engineer or have a City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering including at least 17th Edition.* Excellent problem analysis, PLC fault finding and ability to read schematic diagrams.* Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems.* Identify maintenance improvement opportunities and develop action plan to deliver.* The use of a Computerised maintenance management system, (CMMS), to manage daily work activities.* Full-time role on a Continental Shift pattern of 12 hour shifts, 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days offExpectation to work all bank holidays apart from Christmas and New Year.Medical and DBS Check Required.For more information about the role or to enquire about any other positions we may have please contact Peter Davies on (phone number removed) or (phone number removed)
