An opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join a very well established London design company.
Senior Technical Designer (Revit)

In this role, you will analyse designs and evaluate their feasibility, whilst ensuring that the product design is in accordance with the specifications of the clients. You will be responsible for collaborating with the designers, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes.


You should possess over 8 years of technical expertise across all RIBA project stages within professional practice. This experience should extend to both base build projects and interior fit-outs. They should demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate within a technical team, managing and supporting technical packages throughout all design phases.


Contribute to enhancing the technical proficiency of the team, encompassing technical detailing, NBS production, regulatory compliance, and the development of tender and construction packages.
Participate in technical design reviews.
Exhibit senior-level experience and technical acumen, with a preference for a minimum of 8 years' experience or evidence of managing and evolving detailed project packages through on-site management.
Lead the development and management of drawing packages, overseeing the creation of design drawings and documents.
Contribute to the augmentation of technical expertise, including technical detailing, NBS production, and regulatory compliance.
Possess excellent specification writing skills, particularly with NBS.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all project stages within the RIBA framework and the requisite level of detail for each.
Display adeptness in the technical aspects of projects, collaborating within a team to ensure designs conform to building regulations and planning approvals.
Navigate a multi-disciplinary environment, taking charge of coordination and clash management for projects.
Research and specify products, materials, and specifications for bespoke furniture, overseeing integration with IT and electrical requirements.
Assist in achieving Practical Completion to facilitate the seamless handover of projects.

Willingness to serve as a technical mentor to junior team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate.
Extensive knowledge and ongoing research capability regarding joinery, furniture systems, products, finishes, and materials.
Working knowledge of Building regulations, British Standards, and other pertinent statutory legislation.
Appreciation of the financial aspects of managing a design project within set timelines and budgets is advantageous.
