~ RES Design Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of projects within the UK water sector. Reporting to the Directors, the Senior Civil & Structural Engineer will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with clients & stakeholders, to ensure the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Undertake detailed design calculations, analysis, and modelling using appropriate software and tools.
RC Detailing and foundation design as required.
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other project team members.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to integrate civil and structural aspects into overall project designs.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and project proposals.
Stay abreast of industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to civil and structural engineering in the water sector.
Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil & Structural Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater infrastructure & non-infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects from conception to completion, preferably within the UK water sector.
Strong technical proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla or similar.
Eurocodes, British Standards) pertaining to civil and structural engineering.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
