R&D Engineer - Omagh Your new company We are seeking to recruit an R&D Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company specialising in crushing and screening equipment. Our clients innovative solutions drive efficiency and quality across the industry. Your new role As an R&D Engineer, your responsibilities will span the entire product development lifecycle. You ll analyse existing mechanical systems in our machines, leveraging benchmarking to enhance quality and efficiency. Additionally, you ll create high-standard manufacturing drawings that align with industry standards, supporting detailed work instructions for product manufacturing and installation. Your CAD expertise will be crucial as you maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for presentations, marketing, and aftermarket support. When mechanical failures occur, you ll investigate and recommend corrective actions. Furthermore, you ll actively engage in lean manufacturing strategies, contributing to continuous quality improvement. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you ll need the following qualifications and skills: Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), essential 3D CAD experience (Pro-Engineer or Creo), and advantageous 2D AutoCAD skills.
