Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Application Development?

Join our expanding Interfaces team at SSCL Defence as a Junior Application Developer and be part of something big You'll have the chance to unleash your skills and creativity as you work with cutting-edge technologies alongside a team of talented professionals.
You'll play a vital role in supporting Change Projects, where you'll be involved in implementing client enhancements and software product upgrades. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including defining, developing, documenting, and implementing software changes.

This hybrid working role offers flexibility, allowing you to be based anywhere in the UK with occasional travel to one of our SSCL UK sites.

What you'll be doing:
  • Produce software component designs and specifications.
  • Produce software components and test the components.
  • Produce unit and link test plans and test results.
  • Create test data and testing environments for unit and link testing.
  • Undertake integration testing including assisting in the production of test plans.
  • Produce system documentation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable use of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills using all platforms i.e: face-to-face, video calls, telephone and via email.

It would be great if you had:

  • Coding experience, ideally PL/SQL
  • Experience of using Python
  • SC Clearance
  • Experience of working with government clients
