School Caretaker

Job Overview: SAAF Education are seeking a Premises Assistant / School Caretaker to provide essential support to an outstanding school that we we work with. The ideal candidate will be responsible for porterage, site maintenance, security, and cleaning tasks. This role is initially Monday to Friday but may transition to a rotating shift system. Key Responsibilities:

• Porterage: Assist with moving and setting up desks, tables, chairs, and other furniture around the school.
• Room Setup: Prepare classrooms and meeting spaces by arranging furniture as required.
• Site Security: Open and lock rooms, gates, and other access points to secure the premises.
• Cleaning: Support general cleaning duties as required.
• Minor Repairs: Assist with minor repairs around the site (knowledge in basic repairs preferred).

Requirements:

• Experience: Prior experience as a Premises Assistant, Estates Assistant, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of minor repairs and maintenance is advantageous.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work different shift patterns if required.

Hours as Standard: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break) * Potential for Shift Rotation:

• 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM (2 weeks)
• 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM (2 weeks
