Job Description

Robert Half is delighted to be working with a US based Private Equity House who are investing in a dynamic East Midlands company poised for a transformative leap. They are looking for an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to steer their financial strategy and support their ambitious growth plans. The organisation is currently c£25m t/o and will be embarking on a significant growth plan, both organically and through acquisition.

We are open to receiving applications from career contractors, or individuals who may consider staying for the permanent role. The initial contract period will be 6 months, at a rate of c£1000 a day. Hybrid working is on offer, but our client has a strong preference for an individual that lives in the Midlands.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned CFO who has a track record of driving businesses through pivotal transitions. You will be tasked with upskilling the existing finance team, working with the board on establishing the priority areas for the next 6 months and supporting on some early acquisitions that are already planned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and PE investment goals.
  • Enhance financial and operational reporting mechanisms to meet investor expectations.
  • Lead the company through financial restructuring and refinancing processes post investment
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including private equity partners and financial institutions.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a CFO in a high-growth environment, preferably within a £20m - £50m turnover acquisitive business.
  • Extensive experience working with private equity investors and a strong understanding of PE frameworks and expectations.
  • Demonstrable success in leading acquisitions
  • Exposure to a global entity, preferable a US owned business.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
