We have on average 40 hours per week available for a Flexible Temporary Worker plus overtime. This is a temporary assignment with the potential of turning into a permanent role, working in Woolwich, SE18 area.

On average 40 hours per week with 1-hour unpaid lunch per day. Shifts as per site rota Monday - Sunday rotations, between 07.00 am - 19.00 pm.

Salary: £12.20 - £16.00 per hour - Weekly pay.

Job Purpose:

To assist in the day-to-day monitoring and enforcement of environmental issues, anti-social behaviour, and contraventions of relevant legislation working alongside the Local Authority and Kingdom.

The key roles of this post will include:
  1. Foot patrols of on and off-street areas.
  2. Inspecting public areas, identifying contraventions, and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices using a handheld terminal (I.E., Electronic Digital Assistant) or manual systems when necessary.
  3. Reporting any environmental, anti-social behaviour, and community safety problems to relevant departments where appropriate.
  4. Maintaining accurate records of activities, Fixed Penalty Notices issued, and evidence required for court proceedings.
  5. Attending Court proceedings to support prosecutions where required.
  6. Maintaining a suitable level of knowledge of relevant legislation (including but not limited to Cleaner Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005, Environmental Protection Act 1990, PACE 1984, RIPA 2000).
  7. Undertaking administrative duties as required, ensuring that correct audit procedures and security arrangements are followed.
  8. Synchronizing FPN (Fixed Penalty Notice) and photographic evidence from handheld terminals and/or digital cameras.
  9. Downloading and managing video evidence from Body-Worn Video Devices.
  10. Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

Learning and Development:

We have an informative and practical course aimed at aspiring environmental officers. Our training gives a greater insight into the daily duties required to become an environmental enforcement officer, current Legislation, and the communication and interaction aspect of the role.

We engage participation via practical activities, the use of videos, and observations whilst gaining a recognized qualification in environmental awareness. This is a challenging but rewarding role and if you are passionate about the environment and supporting the local community, this role will enable you to make a real difference.

We generally operate as an Agency and Employment Business, as referred to in the regulations in our ‘agreement for work-finding services,’ and we are in the business of providing recruitment services to Clients looking for workers, and work-finding services to candidates seeking work. With the opportunity to transfer to, a full-time Kingdom contract. Full PAYE status. Eligible for SSP/SMP. Weekly pay every Friday. Holiday pay. The ability to claim and be paid legitimate HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) work/travel related expenses each week.
