What You'll Lead & Deliver Scientific & Strategic Leadership Act as the scientific lead across major accounts, owning the scientific direction and ensuring strategic alignment Develop and refine scientific narratives, communication platforms, publication strategies, and congress planning Advise clients across Medical Affairs, Publications, Clinical Development and more, providing expert guidance on oncology and rare disease Oversight of Scientific Deliverables Oversee and approve manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides, symposia content, digital modules and more Guarantee scientific excellence, accuracy, compliance (ICMJE, GPP, etc.) and consistency with core messaging Review content from Senior/Principal Medical Writers and freelancers Leadership & Mentorship Coach scientific writers at all levels—supporting their growth, quality standards, and scientific capabilities Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and scientific culture-building initiatives Help evolve internal templates, frameworks, and best practices Client Partnership & Scientific Excellence Lead scientific discussions, advisory boards, and client workshops Translate complex scientific messages into clear, credible and compelling communications Bring scientific, competitive and landscape insights to strategic planning Innovation & Thought Leadership Champion innovation in digital scientific engagement and scientific storytelling Keep ahead of oncology, rare disease and medical affairs developments Contribute to internal or external thought leadership initiatives What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Life Science/Pharmacy/Medicine Excellent interpretation and communication of complex scientific data Strong presence in client meetings; ability to challenge, advise and influence Leadership experience with strong mentoring and team development ability What's In It For You A strategic, high-impact leadership role in a respected independent med comms agency Opportunities to shape scientific excellence across major global accounts Work alongside experts in strategy, creative, digital and scientific services A collaborative, supportive environment with genuine career progression Hybrid working with one weekly office day for connection and collaboration Competitive salary and benefits aligned with STL/ASD/SD seniority If you're a scientific strategist, a natural mentor, and a trusted client partner, we would love to hear from you.
