New Homes - As experienced and specialist new build housing contractors, we create homes and regenerate areas with communities in mind. We work collaboratively with registered partners, local authorities, and private developers to provide high quality, energy efficient, and sustainable homes for people to live and grow.

At United Living, we have one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager from an infrastructure of Utilities biased back ground to lead on a number of schemes that encompass new Energy Centres and Heating Network Upgrades across the borough of Wolverhampton.

Responsible for preparation and effective management of the project producing the overall Project Delivery Plan and associated detailed programmes. Take all necessary actions to ensure that work is carried out within the project requirements and timescales

• Act as a visibly strong leader of SHEQ, ensuring that all activity and reporting is accurate, legally compliant and within group policies, highlighting and resolving concerns when identified.

• Ensure that projects are staffed adequately and led and managed effectively and maintain high levels of commitment and morale; Induct all employees on site on the United Way of working ensuring that the contract delivery processes are complied with and adopted into your daily disciplines.

• Report areas of opportunity and risk that may impact on the business plan to the Business Operations Manager - deploying actions to resolve.

* Responsible for achieving an integrated service delivery for all site activities including but not limited to subcontractor procurement schedules, material requirements, plant requisition, statutory services, co-ordinated design development and completing comprehensive records. • Work closely with the Commercial team ensuring that all matters relating to commercial and operations are fully aligned and managed.

• Ensure that work carried out that is outside of the scope of the contract is notified and approval by the customer and the implications of the changes and financial impact are clearly understood.

• Assist Senior Management in agreeing with the customer the Critical Success Factors for the project. Set out and agree a plan to deliver the objectives, communicate with all staff and monitor performance

• Have a good understanding of the Company’s obligations and rights under the terms of the contract ensuring compliance whilst protecting the Company’s rights in accordance with the contract.

• Lead the site management team, ensuring they carry out their responsibilities in a consistent manner.

• Manage the People responsibilities of the team including undertaking Performance & Development Reviews, supporting and coaching team members to achieve both individual and business objectives.

• Agree scopes of each sub-contract package.

• Overall project progress to be regularly reviewed and managed.

Proven track record of successful delivery of projects from start to finish.

• Proficient using Microsoft Office programmes; MS Project or Equiv, Excel, Word, Outlook.

• Proven ability to control costs and delivery on quality in line with targets.

• Accurate interpretation of Contract Documents, programmes, drawings and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of Document Management Systems, BIM etc.

• Appropriate CSCS card.

• SMSTS certificate.

• Temporary works certificate desirable.

• Valid driving licence.
