Job Description Summary
We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator with proven good Revit skills to deliver our BIM strategy and processes to subcontractors and partners in accordance with ISO-19650 and our clients' BIM requirements. As a BIM Coordinator you will work under the direction of the Project BIM Manager and be responsible for the coordination of multiple projects. You must ensure that the BIM processes for our high-voltage substations and power electronics systems are in line with the internal BIM procedures as well as the central BIM processes.
- Key person for BIM and CAD practices and their improvement.
- Management of model collaboration tools (internal): 3D Model Auditing, Clash Detection and Follow-up (meeting and reports), IFC exchange, Virtual Construction, Design & Constructability Reviews, Augmented Reality, Geo-referencing, etc.
- Training of the BIM modeling team in the functional use of the tools and the GE design process or standards.
- Control the BIM information data for the team and ensure its accuracy and completeness according to the BEP throughout the project lifecycle.
- Edit templates, link files, prepare AutoCAD drawings for use as reference, manage shared parameters and coordinates, set up view templates and filters, maintain standard output for the drawings and output technical documents in accordance with central processes.
- Participate in completing the region's shared library of parametric MCAD models for typical objects in accordance with the GE central library.
- Ensure that the project team meets all BIM requirements including quality control, project delivery and model management.
- Actively monitor BIM standards and provide weekly/monthly BIM progress report to project
- Certification as a BIM coordinator is required, and prior experience in HV substations would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of ISO 19650 and other BIM standards.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the latest version of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and how it links to other software.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Autodesk Construction Cloud (including Docs, Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Insight & Build).
- Demonstrated MCAD skills, including general usage and tool configuration; exposure to several 3D engineering design tools (Creo, E3D, Solidworks, Inventor,Tekla...) and IFC exchange format.
- General IT and cloud-based project documentations platforms knowledge, PLM knowledge (Windchill Imagine).
- Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear and simple documentation.
