We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join our team, the role demands accuracy, diligence, resilience and would suit a self-motivated individual. 

FTV Proclad International Limited is a worldwide market and technological leader in the protective weld cladding of pipeline components.

Due to our current success in securing orders, we are currently looking to recruit a Technical Administrator to join our team at our Glenrothes facility. A market competitive wage will be offered depending on experience. Benefits of employment include 33 days holiday per year on a pro-rata basis (including public holidays), an employer pension contribution of 5% of salary and life assurance.

Outline of Role and Responsibilities

As part of the technical department, the individual will receive any relevant training that may be required and assume the following duties, the list is not exhaustive.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Performing administrative tasks including printing documents, filing, composing emails, answering phone calls, scheduling meeting, maintaining engineering registers and creating reports.

Ø Taking and distributing minutes of meetings.

Ø Being proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ø Dealing with suppliers and internal enquiries.

Ø Building good supplier relations and attending customer meetings where applicable.

Ø Sourcing services from suppliers to support contract requirements.

Ø Gain a clear understanding of customers’ business requirements.

Ø Interpreting Engineering Drawings and Material Take Offs.

Ø Visual Manufacturing System Training and awareness of how the system operates.

Ø Supporting Technical Manager with internal / external customer visits and company presentations where and if required.

Ø Assist technical Manager in Conducting Contract Reviews and coordinate communication between departments.

Ø Having a technical knowledge/background is a plus, but not a necessity, training will be provided.

Flexibility

To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.

Personal Qualities

Ø Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Ø Able to work effectively under pressure.

Ø Able to organise and prioritise tasks accordingly.
