Facilities and Structured Solutions Manager Insurance

Please note we are flexible as to where in the UK this role can be based. As an active member of GB Retail's Leadership Team, you will lead GB Retail's Facilities teams to deliver market leading placement and facility solutions for clients and prospects.Leading the Facilities team to drive the execution of the placement strategy, you will utilize a forward-thinking mindset and provide a proactive and sustained focus on innovation to deliver continuous improvements to the WTW placement and client experience.The RolePlacement• Recommend and lead the execution of Facility Placement strategies that are commensurate with putting client interests first while managing conduct risk.• Identify growth opportunities and drive the development of superior products and industry propositions within facilities and structured solutions.• Be responsible for the compliance and governance for GB Retails facilities and structured solutions. • Ensure strong working relationships between GB Retail and Facility Carriers in the market on a basis of mutual respect. • Forge strong working relationships with the client servicing, sales teams, risk management and claims teams. • Demonstrate the following:o Drive the development, placement, governance and process of facilities and structured solutions. o Thorough knowledge of the London and Regional marketso An established profile and professional network in this arenao Strong technical understanding of all classes of insurance and UK placement processPeople• Responsible for managing, motivating, and developing the skills, competencies, and knowledge of team members, including overseeing, and managing of staff appraisals and objective setting.• Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development, so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfil their potential and the requirements of the business.• Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the company.• Recruit staff with the correct level of skills and competencies, adhering to the company's recruitment procedures and best practices.• Manage the performance of your team ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance, ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with the firms' standards.• Provide leadership, direction, advice, and guidance to the team maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation, and morale.• Generate a culture that lives our values: a strong client focus, an emphasis on teamwork, unwavering integrity mutual respect, and a constant striving for excellence. The Requirements Qualifications• Preferably educated to a degree or MBA level• Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or similarSkills and Knowledge• Good general insurance knowledge with a particular focus on the commercial segment.• Excellent leadership skills, with a proven history of developing people.• High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management.• Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.• Good Insurer relationship, sales, and presentation skills.• Good working knowledge of relevant compliance requirements• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other relevant software.
