As a Debt Advisory Director with a focus on supporting our clients in all aspects of their debt funding, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of this new line of business within the mid-market segment. Leveraging your strong background and your established relationships with debt funders, banks and corporate contacts, you will be responsible for helping establish and then grow a high-performing team, developing and executing a comprehensive business strategy, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Working across the whole of the K3 Capital Group and their client base, but sat within the London team at Quantuma, the role will work both with performing and non-performing debt situations building client solutions both to support re-financings and leverage solutions on transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a comprehensive business strategy for the Debt Advisory line of business, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of Quantuma and the wider K3 Capital corporate advisory service lines. Identify target markets, client segments, and service differentiators to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Once established recruit, lead, and mentor a team of talented debt focussed professionals, across both good book and stressed /distressed situations. Be part of a collaborative and results-driven culture across all our corporate finance services.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, leveraging your network and expertise to promote Debt Advisory services. Understand client needs, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure consistently high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Service Delivery Excellence: Oversee the execution of debt advisory engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet industry standards and client expectations. Provide strategic insights to clients, identifying risks and opportunities in their transaction across a range of debt structures and situations.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and debt metrics, competitor offerings, and market dynamics within the mid-market Debt Advisory segment. Use this knowledge to refine and enhance the business strategy.
  • Collaboration with Sun Capital: Work closely with Sun Capital, our US private equity owner, to leverage their resources, expertise, and networks. Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and identify opportunities for synergy.
  • Financial Performance: Manage the financial performance of the Debt Advisory line of business sitting within Quantuma, monitoring revenue, profitability, and expenses. Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and ownership regarding the progress of the Debt Advisory line of business. Clearly communicate achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field as well as directly relevant experience working in the UK Transactions market.
  • Previous experience of working within a debt provider transactional environment either within a bank or debt fund. Preference will be for candidates who have also already operated as debt advisors within a professional services environment, either at an advisory firm or within their own business.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and growing debt advisory services within the mid-market segment.
  • Extensive network and relationships within the Transactions market including with private equity and broader debt markets services industry covering a variety of debt structures.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify key insights from complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in project management, business development, and financial analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
