If so, Teaching Personnel may have the opportunity for you We are currently recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted rated “GOOD” Secondary School in Darwen, Lancashire for a Pastoral Leader to join the school from September 2024. The successful candidates’ role would take responsibility for the pastoral organisation and management of a year group of up to 130 students. You will work alongside Form Tutors and Progress Mentors to improve the teaching and learning of the pupils within the year group. General roles and responsibilities: Working closely with teaching and other support assistants in delivering “personalised learning” whenever reasonably possible. Set targets for attainment levels. If required, undertake the role of a Form Tutor as outlined in Schools tutoring programme. Set work for students absent from lessons in line with the schools behaviour and teaching policies. To have regard for the health and safety of students at all times and adhere to the School’s Health and Safety policy. The successful candidate should: Be able to motivate young people to value the importance of learning. Have a commitment to maintaining high standards.
