The Role

As a cloud solution architect, you will drive the successful adoption of public cloud and realise it’s benefits through the delivery of DCC’s cloud strategy which is aligned to DCC’s mission of delivering value for money to its customers as well as effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Design, implement and oversee cloud architecture solutions on Azure and AWS while working closely with internal teams and suppliers
  • Act as design authority function for cloud function within DCC
  • Define and produce Cloud Architecture deliverables including patterns and standards
  • Determining the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet business objections.
  • Architectural leadership for programmes and projects
  • Research, evaluate and derive benefits of new tools and techniques
  • Ensure projects comply with the defined cloud standards and Frameworks

What are we looking for?

  • Strong Cloud Experience –Azure primarily, AWS, Google
  • Experience working as Architect/designer in large cloud migration/transformation.
  • Demonstrable experience of a breadth of technologies - software, applications, databases and networking
  • IaC tools like Terraform, ARM, Cloudformation
  • Proficiency with networking, storage, and virtualization
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools eg Azure DevOps, GitHub
  • Able to write, review and assure technical documentation such as HLDs, LLDs, user guides, release notes etc
