Shot Blaster

SHOTBLASTER Duties Loading & unloading of wagons & moving small & large fabricated steel items around the workplace using the FLT & Overhead Cranes Working daily with small & large fabricated steel items ranging from 1kg to 10tonne Prepare items for shotblasting General Shotblasting duties Ensure housekeeping is maintained daily Work to specific production schedules Complete all administrative procedures Maintain a clean and organised work area Pack completed works for despatch Perform general labour tasks as assigned Perform manual Blast Cleaning in our Blast Booth & use of the Automated Conveyor Requirements Excellent timekeeping Ability to work to & meet strict deadlines Strong work ethic Ability to follow direction Ability to work on own initiative Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good accuracy & attention to detail Work to specific production schedules Qualifications Folk Lift Truck Counterbalance experience (valid licence essential) Overhead Crane experience (license preferred) Hours of Work Monday – Thursday - 6am – 2pm Friday – 6am – 1pm Overtime – rota shift shared between employees Saturday – 6am – 10am Sunday – 8.30am -10.30am Shifts subject to change as required to suit customer demand Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm Monday – Thursday 10pm – 6am Rate of Pay £13.50 per hour
