Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent Ofsted rated “Outstanding” Day Nursery who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their quality purpose-built setting based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will:- Manage, mentor and support other members of the nursery staff team
- Ensure that the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual education and care provided to children in the nursery is of the highest standard
- Ensure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Work with the directors in developing and keeping under review a curriculum, programme of activities and policies which will ensure that the education and care are of the highest standard and which, where appropriate, will deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Be familiar with and ensure that the nursery policies, curriculum and programme are put into practice.
- Manage and support all members of the staff team to ensure that all staff are encouraged to reach their full potential
- Work in partnership with parents / carers and other family members and to ensure that their views are both solicited and brought to the attention of the directors
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of Health and Safety within the nursery
- Represent, and act as an ambassador for, the nursery and ensure that all staff work together to develop and maintain the nursery’s reputation as a centre of excellence
For this position, you are required to have:
- Early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with preference for degree qualified practitioners
- Experience in a Nursery manager capacity
- Understanding of special educational needs and equality of opportunity
- Paediatric first-aid and food hygiene trained
- Experience in providing staff training
