Job Summary:

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet the necessary safety and environmental standards. Your expertise and meticulous attention to detail will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and roadworthiness of our customers’ vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Perform MOT tests in strict compliance with DVSA guidelines, accurately assessing vehicles’ safety, emissions, and overall roadworthiness.
Conduct thorough inspections of various makes and models of vehicles, identifying any defects or potential issues that may affect their roadworthiness.
Clearly communicate test results to customers and provide professional advice on any necessary repairs or improvements needed to pass the test.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all MOT tests and issue appropriate MOT certificates to successful vehicles.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle components and systems, identifying any faults or discrepancies that require attention.
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers throughout the testing process.
Collaborate with our skilled team of technicians and provide insights on potential repairs and maintenance needs identified during MOT inspections.
Requirements:

Hold a valid MOT Tester License issued by the DVSA.
Possess practical experience as an MOT Tester, with a proven track record in conducting MOT tests and maintaining compliance with DVSA guidelines.
Proficient in using MOT testing equipment and diagnostic tools, with a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and components.
Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and exceptional accuracy in conducting MOT inspections.
Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Be a team player, willing to contribute to a positive working atmosphere and support fellow team members when needed.
Hold a valid UK driving license.
