Role Overview:

As a Building Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical and electrical aspects of construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to step into a client-side role within a reputable main contractor, where you will have the chance to contribute to the successful delivery of diverse projects in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate mechanical and electrical components of construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality standards to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to address mechanical and electrical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively.
  • Uphold stringent health, safety, and environmental practices on-site to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Contracts Manager or Project Manager within the construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Desire to transition into a client-side role within a main contracting firm.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
