Job Details Responsible for: Responsible for producing control & electrical designs as a technical solution predominantly on Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical but also SolidWorks, (for legacy projects), all in accordance with our quality assurance standards, systems and client project specifications. In addition, you will provide technical support to all areas of the business.

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • Current valid driving license.
  • Able to work outside on sites which relate to water & wastewater.
  • Able to carry out basic work tasks, predominantly measurement/ surveys that may involve some minor physical exertion, and standing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required.

Key Duties
  • Liaise with contracts and works departments to obtain clear specifications.
  • Support all departments with necessary drawings from concept to handover.
  • Responsible for providing technical solutions for projects and delivering a quality service which meets or exceeds customer’s expectations.
  • Responsible for understanding electrical designs for the manufacture of control and operating philosophies.
  • Create detailed FDS, C&OP, Panel wiring diagrams & Panel layout drawings to company and clients’ specifications.
  • Generate BOM information for panel manufacture and site installation.
  • Produce, load and test PLC Software in line with the approved control and operating philosophies & client specifications.
  • Assist Commissioning Engineer in the on and off-site commissioning of control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to technical issues relating to controls and automation.
  • Assist in translating technical enquiries received, estimate, produce solutions and quotations for customers ensuring maximum profits and predictions are maintained.
  • Using a mix of good forward planning and flexibility, maintain regular contact with customers to ensure that they are provided with all necessary support and documentation.
  • Liaise with Design Department Manager, Technical Manager & Project Manager to understand technical requirements for each project.
  • Liaise with external manufacturers and clients to understand requirements and solve issues.
  • Carry out site surveys.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes.
  • Follow M&N/ Hydro drawing control procedures.
  • Ensure that all the Company policies and procedures for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 are maintained and that regulations on health and safety are adhered to, to maintain a safe working environment. This will include any customer’s specific regulations.
