Technical Project Manager – Simulation & Software

Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our CEO Ash Warne started the business in 2017 after leading the simulator programmes at McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams. We have since grown to a team of over 100 engineers, delivering turnkey driving simulators to customers including Ferrari F1 Team as well as a number of other marquee brands.

About the team :

We are a team of engineers experienced in the design, manufacture and control of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.

The Role:

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Simulation & Control and Simulator Development Teams within Dynisma, reporting to the Head of Simulation & Control. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be an influencing figure within the company, with exposure to every project. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery and testing of software on all projects to meet deadlines, performance requirements and Research & Development goals.

Key duties include but will not be limited to:

  • Working within a team of technical experts in simulation, vehicle dynamics and control of world class motion simulators. You will be responsible for ensuring that software and simulation components are delivered, to all projects, to spec
  • Managing software and simulation projects utilising the appropriate systems, processes and resources to facilitate optimal delivery. This will include identifying, managing, and mitigating risks and issues, and agreeing accountabilities and responsibilities with the wider project team
  • Prioritizing and delivering long and short term projects based on business interests
  • Working with Project Managers to build resource plans based upon risk, to determine and manage software and simulation project resource allocation
  • Assessing progress, collating & report project status from a time and specification perspective
  • Coordinating and communicating project scope, identifying dependencies and understanding the critical path to secure timely project delivery
  • Identifying and managing stakeholders, resolving conflicts, empowering and inspiring team members

Your Skills:

  • A degree qualification (engineering discipline preferable) or equivalent experience.
  • In depth understanding of Project Management fundamentals
  • Desirable: Understanding or experience of an engineering discipline such as, mechanical design, control system design or systems engineering
  • A logical approach to approaching tasks and solving problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration and Engagement skills
