SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
After significant financial investment from group, leading to 9 additional lines moving to the site, we are looking to hire multiple electrical shift engineers to the support the shifts and play a key role in the continued evolution of the engineering department and strategies.
Within the role, you’ll be working on all matters of electrical engineering, and we will look to you to bring prior experience with diagnosing faults utilising PLCs and ladder logic programming to drive system improvements and reliability.
We will also be looking to utilise your experience working with a range of equipment to transition that knowledge to the broad and diverse lines we have on site, where we primarily focus on the packaging of our various cheese brands (and retailer-own brands).
Shift pattern: 4-on/4-off days & nights (6.Maintaining multiple lines of automated systems, slicers, scales, bagging, and packaging equipment.
Optimising line performance to meet and exceed KPIs in the areas of equipment reliability and efficiency.
Ensuring appropriate information is captured on plant performance.
An electrically biased multi-skilled engineer with an HNC or HND background.
Able to carry out fault-finding with PLCs and experienced with ladder-logic programming.
Able to demonstrate working experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
Comfortable using CMMS and able to interpret data to increase plant efficiency and identify top loss.
