Position: Security Officer
Reports to: Director of Security and Safety

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $18 - $20/hour + Benefits

Southall Farm and Inn Resort is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. As a security officer, you will work on the front lines of securing our beautiful property and providing excellent service to our guests.

The Security Officer position is a 12-hour shift with rotating weekends off . 7:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests and visitors with any needs.
  • Monitor security cameras, alarm systems and inspect all critical areas.
  • Respond to incidents and assist guests and/or employees during the situation.
  • Respond to emergency situations and assist as needed.
  • Defuse guest disturbances and resolve conflicts in a professional manor.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and facilitate interviews with relevant parties.
  • Complete all required reports.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Team first attitude
  • You may be required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighting less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and assist with moving objects weighting in excesses of 75 pounds.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels or personnel and he general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations.

    Education:
  • High school diploma
  • Armed Security Officer; Dallas Law, Active Shooter certifications are preferred.
  • Must be a minimum age of 21.
