Mainstream SEN Teaching Assistant with ADHD and Emotional Support Experience Wanted
Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mainstream SEN Teaching Assistant with specific expertise in supporting students with ADHD and emotional needs to join our dedicated team.
Provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs, including ADHD and emotional difficulties, within a mainstream classroom setting.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised strategies and interventions that promote the academic and social development of students.
- Utilise your expertise in behaviour management techniques to support students in regulating their emotions and maintaining focus in the classroom.
- Foster positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, reassurance, and emotional support to help them overcome challenges and thrive academically and emotionally.
- Collaborate closely with parents/carers and external professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream school, with specific experience supporting students with ADHD and emotional difficulties.
- Strong understanding of ADHD and related behaviours, as well as strategies for managing and supporting students with emotional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to respond effectively to the challenges and opportunities presented in a mainstream SEN setting.
- A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of all students.
