The drive to deliver championship-winning machinery is what excites and strengthens our engineering team; and the key to our continuing success starts with you having influence throughout the core procedures of all our vehicles – from concepts and original designs, to running test programmes and defining the means to enhance maximum performance.
We’re looking to appoint a Lead Rally2 Engineer to oversee technical support and development of our most successful global rally car, the Ford Fiesta Rally2. Delivering innovative engineering solutions from initial concepts through to production.
Ensure the car complies with FIA technical regulations.
Mentoring and leading Junior Engineers.
Creating high quality technical documentations and details of technical upgrades and release to the customers.
Identifying potential performance or reliability improvements.
Managing project workloads to suit defined deadlines.
Providing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve the project and product performance.
You should be educated to either a MEng or BEng degree level in either Motorsport/Automotive Engineering and have a thorough understanding of motor vehicles and their systems.You should have experience and knowledge of data logging and analysis software, and be well organised and delivery focused, as well as having strong problem solving skills.
You should pride yourself on your attention to detail, and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a
Excellent communication and relationship building skills, and be confident producing professional technical documents and reports.
You should be able to produce customer-facing technical documents, and have excellent interpersonal skills – capable of building strong relationships while offering a professional image at all times.
A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar chassis engineering role in motorsport.
