Synthetic Chemist - Synthetic Scientist - Polymer Synthesis - PhD/Doctorate Preferred

Responsibilities

* To be responsible for planning and managing various applications and development projects, developing new products using the knowledge of the existing product range.

* To carry out synthesis reactions of water based acrylate emulsion polymers.

* To provide technical support during the scale-up of new products, during production and resolve any quality issues.

* Complete production in process testing and finished QC testing work to ensure they meet the customer’s specification

Candidate Profile

* Knowledge of Acrylic polymer chemistry would be highly preferred.

* Experience in wet chemistry testing of products to parameters such as viscosity, solids content, pH and colour

Our Client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide range of waterborne acrylic polymer emulsions and Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSAs) to meet customer performance and specification needs. The products are designed to cover a broad range of applications to be supplied to customers across UK and Europe, and used in a whole variety of manufacturing processes.

They are currently seeking a Synthetic Chemist, preferably with a PhD and experience working in synthesis.
