Principal Tasks:

The Logistics Team Leader in York is responsible for management of inbound shipments, inventory management and logistics output.
  • Achieve identified and agreed levels on key areas including the following:
    • Efficiency and productivity
    • Inbound flow of inventory to ensure timely availability for revenue output
    • Logistics flow to support revenue output
    • Throughput Times
  • Manage and keep track of department performance setting effective metrics for the department and issuing relevant reporting to Adtran management.
  • Motivating and enhancing the performance of the employees within the team, including providing feedback and identifying development plans in order to ensure a committed and highly skilled team.
  • Implement, maintain 6S policy


Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • An experienced people manager with hands on approach, who derives job satisfaction from organizing, motivating and developing an operational team to new higher levels of performance and excellence.
  • Experience working in a warehouse and logistics environment.
  • Has a strong background and experience in inventory management.
  • Demonstrable customer oriented approach in all internal and external dealings.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

     

Scope of employment

  • DBS check will be required (Adtran to arrange)
