London, United Kingdom Amazon Full time

Job ID: 2632099 | Amazon UK Services Ltd. - Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Retail teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimise our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.
The EU AMXL Network Planning team is looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, supply chain and/or transportation knowledge, and technology experience to join our team as a Supply Chain Manager focused on Last Mile. In this position, you will own long term last mile strategy, ranging from optimization of existing topology to defining a new strategy for demand coverage and Jurisdiction creation for Amazon delivery station planning.
Work with multiple stakeholders across various supply chain functions like outbound transportation, real estate, engineering, launch, finance, operations, sales and operation planning
- Identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion
- Deliver end-to-end technology and supply chain planning projects while working through the many obstacles along the way
Being a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You’ll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you’ll have the opportunity to help forecast and plan for new projects.
As a Supply Chain Manager, you’ll need to help with both on-the-ground tasks and more tactical work. You could spend one day helping to define our supply chain and operating models and the next assisting with a site’s resource plan for a busy period.
There may be flexibility to choose your location or work remotely on occasion.
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. The EU AMXL Network Planning team aims to design the best strategies for our AMXL Supply Chain and Transportation organization, resulting in executable plans impacting 1 to 3 years. This way we help to shape and bring to life the AMXL vision. Experience in supply chain
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
- Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders including senior management
Protecting your privacy and the security of your data is a longstanding top priority for Amazon. Please consult our Privacy Notice ( to know more about how we collect, use and transfer the personal data of our candidates.
If you have a disability and need an adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please contact the Applicant-Candidate Accommodation Team (ACAT), Monday through Friday from 7:00 am GMT - 4:00 pm GMT.
