Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture shape how we operate by aligning People, Processes, Information and Technology to strategic priorities. As Business Architect, you'll shape UKI's future-state business architecture for a given function, driving simplification, capability definition and operating-model alignment with strategic priorities. You'll enable strong decision-making, partner across Product Owners, Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture, and help ensure our architecture delivers real value across product, data and technology domains. This role is UK-based with hybrid working options. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing: Support the design of future state business architecture for AXA UKI in terms of how People, Processes, Information and Technology inter-operate. Complete thorough gap analyses of current vs. future state operating models. Outline roadmaps for the target state business architecture and recommend a programme of work to deliver it with the Business/Tribes. Work closely with the business and tribe leads in decision making by consulting on technical, operational and business architecture dimensions to ensure all implications of decisions are understood and ensure alignment to the business strategy priorities and the future state operating model design. Partner with Product Owners, Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment of business and IT change initiatives to business strategy priorities and the future state operating model design. Support the Business Architecture team to create, develop, and maintain business architecture documentation. Ensure working with other business architecture we can develop common cross business capabilities. Strive for business simplification by using business architecture skills/assets to highlight opportunities for standardising processes and portfolios where possible, working with expertise from other teams, such as Operational Excellence Managers, Enterprise Architects, Business Analysts, etc. Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. What you'll bring: Experience in business architecture, strategy, or transformation roles within large, complex organisations. Strong understanding of business strategy and ability to translate it into architectural models and plans. Skilled in capturing and analysing business requirements across diverse stakeholder groups. Proficient in business process modelling (e.g. BPMN) and operating model design. Comfortable using data to assess performance and inform design decisions. Experience evaluating solutions and assessing feasibility, value, and alignment to strategic goals. Good communicator with proven ability to influence and build consensus across business and IT. Familiarity with EA frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
