About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior / Principal Electrical Power System Engineering Consultant — Batteries andRenewables to provide expert power system consulting services in the field of Batteries and Renewables. As a Senior / Principal ElectricalPower System Engineering Consultant — Batteries and Renewables, you will collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders toassess technical requirements, develop electrical designs, and provide specialised guidance on electrical power systems aspects of Batteryand Renewables projects. Your expertise in power systems, energy storage, and electrical design will be instrumental in ensuring thesuccessful integration and operation of Battery and Renewables solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their energy storage goals, project requirements, and electrical infrastructureconsiderations related to Battery and Renewables installations.
• Conduct technical assessments to evaluate the feasibility and compatibility of Battery and Renewables solutions with existingelectrical systems and grid connections.
• Provide expert advice on electrical engineering aspects of Battery and Renewables projects, including system design, equipmentselection, protection schemes, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Develop comprehensive electrical designs and specifications for Battery and Renewables installations, considering factors suchas voltage levels, power capacity, equipment ratings, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of Battery and Renewables systems with other power systemscomponents, such as generators, renewable energy sources, and distribution networks.
• Interpret load flow, short circuit, and harmonic studies results to analyse the impact of Battery and Renewables integration onpower system performance and recommend mitigation measures if required.
• Assess and recommend appropriate energy storage, renewables technologies and battery chemistries based on projectrequirements, performance characteristics, and cost considerations.
• Guide the design and implementation of electrical protection systems, control strategies, and communication interfaces for
• Battery and Renewables installations.
• Collaborate with contractors and construction teams during the installation and commissioning phases to ensure adherence toelectrical design specifications, safety protocols, and project timelines.
• Conduct or oversee system testing and commissioning activities, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with regulatoryrequirements.
• Support clients in the procurement process, including evaluating bids and proposals, reviewing supplier qualifications, andproviding technical input during contract negotiations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates related to Battery and Renewables electricalengineering, providing strategic recommendations and best practices to clients.
• Willingness to stay updated with industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites and project locations as required.

Here’s what you’ll need :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical power system engineering or a related field.
• Desired Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience as an Electrical Consultant or in a similar consulting role focused on energy or power systems projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and energy storage technologies.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical aspects of energy storage and renewables projects.
• Demonstrated experience in developing electrical designs and specifications for power systems or energy storage projects.
• Proficiency in using electrical engineering design software and tools, such as ETAP, PSS/E, or similar applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex electrical systems and provide effective solutions.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with clients,project teams, and regulatory authorities.
