The Mead Educational Trust (TMET) is a family of thirteen primary and secondary schools all based in Leicester and Leicestershire. Together, we seek to Make A Positive Difference to the lives of the children attending our schools. Brook Mead Academy is the newest school in TMET, following on from the successful opening of Castle Mead Academy in September 2019. Brook Mead also draws on the outstanding provision enjoyed at our flagship secondary school, Rushey Mead Academy, which far exceeds national averages for progress and attainment, placing it year after year in the top 5% of schools nationally.

To signal our ambition for our scholars, we offer LATIN to all in Year 7 and then as an option subject at GCSE. We are one of the very few state schools who offer Latin in such a way. We have a curriculum in place and are looking for a new teacher to build upon the foundations lain.

• This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate teaching a glorious curriculum in a brand-new school which will move to a state-of-the-art new building in 2025.

• Weekly subject team meetings focus on knowledge enhancement, planning to the detail, crafting common explanations, questions and anticipating misconceptions.
