Stores Manager

Doncaster, up to £40k, Mon-Fri, days only

Stores Manager; duties include:

To manage all areas classed as stores or stock control, including the teams within each.

The company have recently streamlined the manufacturing process which has affected the stock procedures resulting in a need for bigger teams in these departments.

These teams make sure all stock relating to field work is available, provide all equipment and consumables to workshop engineers for the next day's work and liaise with suppliers and accounts to replace or credit faulty and returns.

The Manager role is a new position which has been created to oversee these new processes, ensure staff are working in line with them and arranging for support and training to ensure stock provision to the shop floor doesn't hold up manufacture.

Responsible for managing adherence to Health and Safety within their teams, ensuring that team members understand their own responsibilities on site and COSHH safety data is adhered to.

Stores Manager; requirements:

Applicants need to have experience supervising a busy engineering stores department

Have excellent understand of control products and processes

Be able to positively manage a team within this environment, delegating appropriately, communicating affectively, setting goals, providing feedback and motivating to continuously improve all aspects

Health and Safety is vital to ensure everyone goes home happily, therefore this role demands a candidate who holds H&S in high regard and promotes through their own actions

Stores Manager; package

Salary: Up to £40k

Hours: 40 hours per week, but as a manager you may need to be flexible on occasion

Hours: 8 hours per day between 6:30am and 5pm, must be contactable within these times

Holidays: 20 holidays per year plus bank holidays, this increases by 1 per full year for 3 years
