What we require from you?
- Maintain high levels of quality in all fire engineering areas.
- Actively working towards chartership with expected timings to be discussed and agreed within the Personal Growth Plan (PGP).
- Be fully conversant with all relevant legislation and recommend/ensure procedures are updated accordingly.
- In collaboration with Directors, provide analysis of workload within Ashton Fire and allocate as appropriate.
- Give encouragement, support, supervision (as appropriate), training and guidance to the rest of the team.
- Have a clear track record of effectively line managing a team or multiple individuals. This covers all aspects of managing, maintaining, and growing a team including financial responsibility and accountability for all team members.
- Be responsible for the technical output of the team and ensure that a best practice, high quality, and ethically responsible approach is taken for all deliverables.
Qualifications required:
- Minimum 6 years+ experience in the fire engineering field.
- Associate member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (AIFireE).
- BSc, BEng or higher in fire engineering (or a relevant engineering discipline).
- Upbeat personality with a high level of integrity and ethics.
- Proven managerial and leadership skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel andOutlook.
- Fluent in English (spoken, written and comprehension).
